Question: Are men ever victims of partner abuse?

Answer:

Men certainly may be injured as a result of IPV. In any conflict that has escalated to the point of violence, the persons involved become mutual combatants, and injury may be inflicted on a man by his female partner. The woman is 13 tmes more hkely to be injured than the man, however, and 30% more likely to be killed. Statistically, 95% of IPV victims are women, and women almost exclusively endure the pattern of recurrent nonphysical and physical abuse (the battering syndrome).
